Earning my Stripes

The building, a 1980's post-modernist design with a strong linear stripe of alternating coloured brick courses, had potential to provide simple and open floors with excellent natural light but required a comprehensive overhauling to bring it up to modern standards. Morag was commissioned to make an artwork for the reception lobby. "I wanted to take the order of the stripes on the outside of the existing building and reuse them on the inside but in a disruptive manner. The artwork was painted directly onto the walls. 'Earning my Stripes'."
